Employee Spotlight: Stuart Gibbs

It’s a new year and Laser Central has a new(ish), employee! We usually use the Employee Spotlight as an opportunity to showcase members of our hardworking team who have been with us for a long time. We thought we’d use this month’s spotlight to introduce our newest employee and give him a chance to tell us about himself. Meet Stuart Gibbs.

Employee Spotlight Questions

What is your position at Laser Central?

I’m part of the internal sales team.

How long have you been working at Laser Central?

A little over three months.

How have you been treated as the new guy on the team?

I was quite surprised to findmyself welcomed with open arms, so to speak. It’s been great!

What’s a terrible movie or TV show that you secretly love?

I don’t really get time to watch a lot of TV. Anything sport interests me and it always gets frowned upon at home so any time I get to lock myself away and watch a bit of sport it’s good.

What do you like to do in your down time?

I like running and just generally spending time with the family.

What inspires and motivates you to get up in the morning?

There have been a couple of times in my life where my health hasn’t been really good and just being able to get out of bed, get up and go to work and function inspires and motivates me.

What’s something you are good at that usually surprises people?

I did decorative Ironwork for a great number of years and really enjoyed that. A lot of people don’t know I do that.

If you could have a superpower what would it be?

Longevity. Just be here as long as I can. Learn as much as I can. I love learning every day.

What is your favourite food?

A well-cooked steak and a mushroom sauce.

What actor would you like to play you in a movie?

It couldn’t be Hugh (Jackman) he couldn’t pull off the look I don’t think. I’ve been told previously when I was younger that I looked like Patrick Swayze but that’s a bit hard now.

What is your dream holiday?

Get back to England and have a look and visit where I was born and spend a bit of time in the old country with some of the relatives before they all pass on. That would be a good holiday.
